The Initial Xbox Game Pass Games of 2026 Show Xbox Isn't Giving Up Yet.

Everywhere you go, fans keep sounding the knell for Microsoft's gaming division. Xbox was recently outsold by a relatively obscure console. Platform-specific outlets have started writing on PS5 topics as a new development. The past year represented an era of significant turmoil for the Xbox ecosystem. But if we're going solely off the titles headed to the service in 2026, it is apparent that Microsoft remains determined to engage players with strong games on its flagship service.

The Immediate Additions

A pair of titles that are immediately available today, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, don't represent the biggest draws. Instead, the excitement lies in what's arriving to Game Pass soon that's worth getting excited about.

Significant Forthcoming Releases

Starting January 13th, Game Pass will add the often-overlooked Star Wars Outlaws, an open-world game that deviates from the standard Ubisoft formula with an intergalactic heist adventure. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village and its giant Lady Dimitrescu, which our 2021 review called "a superb mixture of terror and combat."

Intriguing Niche Additions

Yet, the less-hyped additions coming to Game Pass soon are quite compelling. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, a fantastic but under-the-radar dungeon crawler that is incredibly fun, arrives January 7th — and it merits a playthrough even if you missed out on the first Lost in Random game.

This UK-developed survival title from last year may draw you in remarkably quickly.

Atomfall, the stealth survival game by Rebellion Developments, is another one to watch. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to look forward to.

A Well-Rounded Collection

In summary, this isn't a revolutionary update to Game Pass, and they are also not first-party juggernauts that are the sole reason for the service in the first place. Yet, this selection are very dependable. It offers a healthy blend of old games you might have missed and fairly new titles that lacked the recognition they were due initially — transforming them into perfect candidates to find a new audience on Game Pass.

Hope you're ready to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, though.
