Gas Detonation Takes Three Carabinieri While Executing Property Removal Action in Italy
Three members of law enforcement were killed and at least 15 additional individuals were hurt in an apparently premeditated detonation from gas at a rural property in the northern part of Italy.
How It Happened
The explosion took place as law enforcement and fire personnel approached the house near Verona to enforce an removal notice for a brother and sister trio aged in their 50s and 60s.
Each of the three victims who died were members of the Carabinieri force.
Investigation Developments
One male and one female got detained at the scene and a third person who ran away subsequent to the explosion was apprehended not long after. All three have been transported to hospital.
