The assault resulted in the temporary closure of the CTA tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking area.

An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.

These detentions come after a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was among the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Police arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the location. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several people injured by an irritating chemical thought to be pepper spray.

The assault - which police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
